Haloing fantasia

This piece was composed in 2012 for the Parhelion trio (Sarah Carrier, alto flute, Crystal Gloria Medina, clarinet, and Andrea Christie, piano). In this piece, chromaticism can suggest the pallid and polychromatic light of a halo (or of a parhelion).

The Parhelion trio performed this piece twice in New York city, with a premiere on June 29, 2012, and an encore on January 27, 2013.
