Brazilian composer Zequinha de Abreu (1880-1935), a flutist and clarinetist, composed "Tico Tico no Fubá," one of the most popular Brazilian "choros," in 1917.
"Tico Tico Revisitado" is a short piece for flute, in which Jean-Pierre Vial uses the rhythm of, and a few quotations from Tico Tico no Fubá.
