Troll party, for violin

ISWC T-314.854.620.3 Trolls
(from Wikimedia)

This short piece was specially composed for Icelandic violinist Eva Ingolf who premiered it during a concert in New-York City, in February 2014.

Eva Ingolf wished to perform a series of short pieces on the theme of Iceland, land of mystery and trolls. Troll party is therefore inspired by an imaginary playlet, with a bunch of dwarf trolls frolicking over the moors in the moonlight. For a while, they join another group of their peers who are dancing frantically. The playlet ends at dawn, with the dwarves jumping into the cave where they reside.

This is Troll party recorded by Eva Ingolf during the premiere in New-York City. (If the video does not show in your internet browser, try this link.)
