Jean-Pierre Vial composed this short piece in 2016.

The French word amusette mainly refers (among other uses) to a puzzle or to a bagatelle, a title that composers often use for their miniatures. In addition, the French word musette mainly refers (among other uses) to the popular dance and accordion music typically associated with the bal-musette.

a-Musette is therefore a miniature for piano designed as a bagatelle.
